Dr. Jeffrey Sanfield, of Ann Arbor Endocrinology & Diabetes Associateshas been selected for Best Doctors in America for Endocrinology and Metabolism
Best Doctors in America 2011-2012 represents the top five percent of physicians across the country with approximately 47,000 doctors in over 400 specialties. For over 20 years, Best Doctors has conducted the largest, continuous, peer-to-peer survey of medical professionals with the intention of helping patients find the best experts for their medical needs. Assessment to be included in the roster includes current licensure, board certification and malpractice incidents, as well as an evaluation of each physicians’ research and published work.

According to the ‘Top Docs’ list of Hour Detroit’s October issue, Dr Sanfield is a physician providing leading-edge medicine and compassionate care to his patients.

AAEDA continues to grow!
Dr. Saberi received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan and a medical degree from Wayne State University.She completed her residency in internal medicine training as well as a fellowship in metabolism, endocrinology and diabetes at the University
of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Saberi has published on the topic of
Diabetes, and has served as a researcher on characteristics associated
with stress induced hyperglycemia in cardiovascular surgery patients.
Dr. Saberi lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is the newest member of the Ann Arbor Endocrinology & Diabetes Associates staff, joining in August of 2009.

Ann Arbor Endocrinology & Diabetes Associates (AAEDA) invites our patients to update their education and understanding of diabetes via full service or ala carte offerings. AAEDA provides on line and in office diabetes education, and encourages patients to work with us in developing a self-care plan that meets your individual needs.
In conjunction with St. Joseph Mercy Health Center, AAEDA can provide patients with in-depth diabetes education. AAEDA physicians, nutritionists and certified diabetes education nurses can help you learn how to take care of your diabetes and reduce your risk of developing complications. AAEDA and SJMH are approved by the American Diabetes Association and the Michigan Department of Community Health, organizations committed to making sure that our program meets the highest standards.
Patients newly diagnosed with Type I or II diabetes, pregnant patients, and pump users are all encouraged to review our on line patient education pages, and work directly with AAEDA staff to customize a plan. Taking care of yourself is an important key to staying healthy when you have diabetes and AAEDA offers planning in carbohydrate counting, feet checking daily, pump setting enhancements, and much more.

Walk to Cure Diabetes
Dr. Jefferey Sanfield served as Corporate Recruitment Chairman for The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF) Walk To Cure Diabetes Ann Arbor Walk Site. As Director of Diabetes Program, and Chair for the Department of Internal Medicine at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, this was Dr. Sanfield's second opportunity to lead in fund raising activities for the foundation.
